The exhibition 'Democratic Design' at the IKEA Museum is an interactive journey through the five dimensions of Democratic Design: form, function, quality, sustainability, and low price. Go behind the scenes into IKEA's product development process and explore the various design challenges that arise in life at home. The exhibition is centered around their mission to create a better everyday life for the many people.
Yoke played a key role in the overall exhibition's design, including the interactive and digital installations. Each dimension is introduced through small interactive setups, culminating in an impressive centerpiece that showcases the tireless work of IKEA's product developers addressing everyday problems and global challenges.
For younger visitors, Yoke created a children's track featuring the IKEA soft toy SAGOSKATT. Through seven playful installations, children explore design from their perspective, covering form, function, sustainability, quality, and low price.
The exhibition has been developed in close collaboration with the IKEA Museum, Expology SE and PJADAD.
